Arru! The Arabana Rangers have been flat out on Arabana Country as always doing important work, and they've taken some photos to share of their recent trip.
Cat trapping was a success with two cats caught, helping to protect our native wildlife from these feral invaders.
The team visited Gosse Springs on the edge of Kati Thanda - Lake Eyre, and took some powerful photos of the Rangers standing proud at the water’s edge. It’s a reminder of how deep our connection to the land runs.
At Finniss, the Rangers carried out some much needed maintenance and clean up of the pipes, ensuring everything is in good shape.
Beatrice Springs showed some clear signs of horse damage, and the Rangers did a controlled burn to get rid of the dead reeds and help the land regenerate. They’ll keep an eye on this spot to ensure the horses don’t cause more damage.
A highlight of the trip was the good rain that brought life to Finniss Creek, making it flow once again.
With many more trips planned in their project board, the Rangers continue to work hard looking after our Country, and keeping it strong for our future generations.
